Aria for Salesforce Features

New Aria Reports Available in Report Builder

The following Aria-related reports are now available in Aria For Salesforce:

  • Aria Report: ARR by Account—displays annual recurring revenue by account
  • Aria Report: MRR by Account—displays monthly recurring revenue by account
  • Aria Report: ACV by Account—displays annual contract value by account
  • Aria Report: Customer Revenue—displays total revenue collected by account
  • Aria Report: Customer Account Balance—displays open balances of accounts
  • Aria Report: Customer Invoice Balance Due—diplays total of unpaid invoices of accounts
  • Aria Report: Closed Won Opportunity—diplays all opportunities in the Closed Won status

Each report is visually displayed on the Aria Dashboard in Aria For Salesforce, and can be clicked to reveal detailed data.

Since Lightning dashboards and reports are included in this release, an administrative permission on the profile level named "Change Dashboard Colors" needs to be enabled before installing Salesforce v4.40. If this permission is not enabled for the installing user, the installation will fail. This permission may exist for older Salesforce instances, but it may be disabled. For newer Salesforce instances, the installing user may have this permission enabled on their profile.

The following provides an overview of the steps required to create this permission if required and assign it to an installing user:

A detailed description of the steps to create the permission set including the “Change Dashboard Colors” permission can be found here.

Note: Salesforce v4.30 does not need this pre-installation step since it does not include the Lightning dashboard.

Alternate Plan Start Date - Plan Start & Billing Options

On the Plan Start & Billing Options dialog, the Alternate Plan Start Date appears. This is displayed only if you select Immediately (new and existing plans) or In The Future (new and existing plans) from the When Plan Changes Take Effect drop-down list (SFDC-708, also appearing on this page). This is applicable as follows for an existing account:

  • Adding a new supplemental plan instance (SPI) where a master plan instance (MPI) already exists for an account.
  • Adding a new MPI.
  • Updating an existing MPI or SPI.

Notes:

  • A supplemental plan's start date can go into the past as long as it's after the master plan's provision date.
  • If a new MPI is assigned using the When Plan Changes Take Effect date and the Alternate Plan Start Date, the When Plan Changes Take Effect date takes precedence.
  • If the Alternate Plan Start Date is saved for an MPI with SPIs, that date is saved for the MPI as well as all dependent SPIs. The Alternate Plan Start Date is only updated in the Aria core application if the account plan is updated at the Plan Start & Billing Options dialog.

More information on the Aria for Salesforce integration with the Aria core application is here.

Aria for Salesforce Fixes

  • The error "AriaErrorLog: Job already planned for execution error" no longer occurs (nor appears in the Error Log) when Account Rate Tier synchronization is triggered simultaneously on both the commit to Aria and the Refresh from Aria button in the UI. The two actions now execute two differently named jobs. (SFDC-644)
  • The error message "ASF3.AriaAPIException: Mandatory child plans are not included in the input." no longer occurs when Aria For Salesforce creates an account. Now, mandatory child plans are included in a flag on the create_acct_complete_m call from Aria For Salesforce. (SFDC-645)
  • You can now create a new account in Aria For Salesforce with a currency that differs from the previously created account. (SFDC-751)
  • On the Plan Start & Billing Options pop-up, the spelling of the word "existing" has been corrected for drop-down options available to existing plans; and a red asterisk (*) has been added to the Enter a Date in the Past field indicating it is a required field for new plans added with a Retroactive Start Date. (SFDC-810)
  • Clicking the Add/Modify Plans button in the Active Plans section on an account now loads the Plan Selection & Configuration screen as expected. Previously, Aria For Salesforce displayed an error message and the Plan Selection & Configuration screen did not appear. (SFDC-829)
  • The Subscription ID field in the Configure Plan Settings panel now accepts letters as input. Previously, it only accepted numbers. (SFDC-879)
