Refunds
Navigate to Transactions > Refunds from the side navigation menu. Here you can view a list of refunds made to the current account.
- Select the dropdown arrow to the left of a refund to expand the line item details of the invoice the refund is applied to.
- Click the vertical ellipsis shown below to select a Cozy or Compact column view on the Refunds page.
- Select the New Refund button to create a refund. This button will only appear when refundable payments are available. A pop-out form will open prompting you to select a payment to make a refund on.
- Click on the payment you want to make a refund on. The Create Refund form will open allowing you to enter information about the refund.
Enter the required refund Reason, Action for Paid Line Items, and Refund Amount to create a refund.
You also have the option to do any of the following:- Leave Comments about the refund for future reference.
- Forgive the original charges: The original charges are invalid. The refund will return the money to customer and reverse the original charges
- Keep the original charges: Customer wants to dispute a specific charge on an invoice and we want to investigate the disputed charge. The disputed charge will be open, and a new payment will need to be collected if the charge is valid.
- Create new charges to apply the refund to: A customer paid the charge by mistake with the corporate card, and would like to pay it later by a different payment method.
- Once you have entered the required information, click the Create Refund button to save your refund.
- A confirmation popup opens asking you to confirm the creation of your refund. Review the popup text and click the Create Refund button to confirm.
Your Refund is now created.
