Aria allows you to specify unbilled usage balance thresholds that will trigger email messages to your customers and event notifications to your systems. In addition, you have the ability to reset your customers' unbilled usage balances. Specifying unbilled usage balance thresholds only affects email messages and event notifications. Actual balances owed by customers for accrued usage will not be affected.
For a customer to receive event notifications when their unbilled usage balances reach, go above, or go below specified threshold percentages, you must configure the Unbilled Usage Threshold Adjustment Percentage setting.
For example, if you set the Unbilled Usage Threshold Adjustment Percentage client setting to 80%, you could send a customer an email notification when their unbilled usage balance is greater than, less than, or equal to 80% of the customer’s assigned unbilled usage balance threshold.
If you do not specify a percentage as described, then by default, email messages and/or event notifications will be triggered when your customers’ unbilled usage balances have reached, gone above, or gone below 100% of your specified thresholds.
