Volume Rating

Volume rating is also called 2-pass rating or bill-time rating.

Expected Result:

Apply the same tier rate for all usage based on total usage during the billing period.

Variants:

Independent volume rating for each usage type or across usage types in a master plan instance hierarchy.

Setup:

Pre-configure accumulator resources in Aria Allegro. For independent tiers per usage type, set independent accumulators. Otherwise, set a common accumulator for all usage types. Configure accumulators with Accumulate Quantity as True.

Set up the plan, plan rate schedule, and plan services as needed.

Identify usage types requiring volume rating. Determine if volume rating applies across some usage types in the master plan instance hierarchy.

Set the Price-offer in Aria Allegro as follows:

Select the checkbox for Volume Rating

Pricing Model as Tiered,

Tier Reference as Balance

Select the Accumulator configured in step 1.

Tier Type as Prospective tiers.

Set other attributes for prospective tiers as needed.

Add tiers and rates. These are standard pricing.

Add currency and accumulator impacts as needed.
