Force Cleanup
Overview
Force Cleanup lets you delete all records from the mediation table for a specific source platform, service type, and usage record type. Use this feature when you need to modify a Usage File Map or Mediation Rule that already has data in its mediation table.
Without cleanup, the system blocks modifications to a Usage File Map or Mediation Rule that has existing mediation records. Running Force Cleanup removes those records so you can make the required configuration change.
Note: Force Cleanup is available to privileged users only.
When to Use Force Cleanup
Use Force Cleanup when modifying a Usage File Map or Mediation Rule produces one of the following errors:
- "Usage data exists in the mediation table—modification not allowed"
- "Pending usage data exists in the mediation table—modification not allowed"
Access Force Cleanup
- Click the Usage switch in the navigation pane.
- Expand Operations in the left navigation menu.
- Click Force Cleanup.
The system displays all source platforms configured for your account in a table with the following columns: Name, Service Type, Usage Record Type, and a delete icon.

Search and Filter Source Platforms
Use the filter bar at the top of the table to narrow results:
- Name—Enter a full or partial source platform name. This search is not case-sensitive.
- Service Type—Select a service type from the Service Type dropdown. This search returns exact matches only.
Click Search to apply your filters, or click Clear to reset the filter bar.
Delete Mediation Table Data
- In the Force Cleanup table, locate the source platform you want to clean up.
- Click the delete icon in that row. A confirmation dialog appears.

- Click Yes to confirm.
If mediation records exist for the selected source platform, the system deletes all rows and displays the total number of records deleted. If no records exist, the system displays the message "Mediation table is empty, proceed with modify."
