Account Search

Account search lets you find and select an account to set as the context. You can then navigate all account and subscription data for that account.

To access account search in Allegro Account search page:

  1. Click the Accounts switch (Usage/Account toggle) in the navigation pane. The navigation bar adjusts automatically for Accounts View.
  2. The Home link in the navigation bar is the default. Other navigation options are greyed out and enable automatically when you search and select an account as context. You can return to the Account search page using the home link.
  3. This displays account search data in the activity pane. A default search runs, showing the most recent accounts at the top of the table.
  4. Select the ID link associated with the account row to set the account as the context.

This is shown in the following screenshot:

Using Account Search

The account search filters to narrow the search are:

  1. Account Number—Search by exact account number.
  2. Client Account Id—Search by exact Client account ID linked to the account.
  3. Account Status—Search by exact Aria Allegro account status from the drop-down list.
  4. Billing Status—Search by exact core Aria account status. Any core Aria status value is supported.
  5. Parent Id—Search accounts within a hierarchy by exact parent ID.
  6. User Id—For accounts with Self-care access enabled, this is the user ID. Aria Allegro maintains the User Id linked to the account, though it is not exposed to end-customers.
  7. Account Type—Aria Allegro supports various account types. DIRECT_CUSTOMER is the default unless specified.

Use the sort attributes in the output data to sort ascending or descending.

The account object has many attributes. Key attributes for usage processing include:

  • Status—current Aria Allegro status of the account.
  • Billing Status—current core Aria Billing status of the account.
  • Billing Status Reason—reason associated with the core Aria Billing status.
  • Effective Date—the date the account becomes effective. Usage before this date cannot be processed in Aria Allegro.
  • Currency—currency associated with the account's primary currency.
  • Has Children—flag indicating if the account is a parent in an account hierarchy.

Account Overview

The data displayed in the Account Search row also appears in the Account Tab.

The screenshot below illustrates this:

Account Contacts

Aria Allegro separates the Account Contact into Contacts and Address objects. Currently, this is unused.

Future roadmap items may use this data for:

  • Usage event time taxation
  • Core Aria framework for alerts and notifications

Account Hierarchy

Aria Allegro does not restrict the depth or width of the account hierarchy, similar to core Aria. Note that for usage processing, Aria Allegro does not transfer payment responsibility from the core Aria account hierarchy setup. The account hierarchy is transferred to Aria Allegro

  • to support Sharing Groups or Pooling functionality, currently a roadmap item.
  • to support Usage Plan by reference in a corporate hierarchy. B2B contracts occur at the corporate, business unit, or department level, while activation and recurring services apply to each account and subscription in the hierarchy. Contracted usage pricing is at the corporate level. This is also a roadmap feature. When usage pricing by reference is supported, the usage plan associates only at the contract node level, and all subordinate nodes inherit it.

Aria Allegro UI displays two levels of the account hierarchy by default. Users can expand nodes to reveal additional levels. If no node link appears below an account, it is a leaf account in the hierarchy.

The account hierarchy view is shown in the screenshot below:

Key points for account hierarchy view in Aria Allegro are:

  • Each account in the hierarchy appears as a tile (node) displaying key attributes for identification.
  • Allegro UI uses color legends to indicate node status in the tile header bar.
    • Active accounts appear in Aria Blue.
    • Inactive accounts appear in yellow.
    • Closed or cancelled accounts appear in grey.
