Allegro FAQ
The purpose of this page/section is to not only look at errors and reprocessing but also provide answers to general frequently asked questions.

Error handling and reprocessing are covered in these sections:

  1. Usage Suspense Management in Usage Operations for error handling
  2. Aria Synchronization and error management in Aria Sync Re-processing covering:
    1. Account synchronization errors—resolving errors for account and subscription data feed LOMs.
    2. Catalog synchronization errors—resolving errors for supported catalog components.
    3. Billing aggregated usage errors—reviewing and reprocessing billing aggregated usage synchronization from Aria Allegro to core Aria via the ‘bulk_record_usage_m’ API.
  3. Roadmap capabilities will support other operational issue resolution, including:
    1. Rerating and Rebilling—rerating unbilled and billed usage records; reinvoicing or credit-note generation for re-rated billed records.
    2. AI capabilities for reactive or proactive management of account usage data.

These sections provide for a lot of error handling, resolution management and reprocessing capabilities.

Also refer to the section Allegro Architecture to know the components of the Aria Allegro architecture to understand potential failure points. All the errors can be categorized as:

  • Aria Allegro Deployment and setup related issues—These types of errors should occur mostly for new deployment, new setup for a client. With the roadmap implementation, new services, new upgrade scripts may be required with each release and some of the same setup may continue. Most of these errors will be minimized, if not eliminated with the maturing of the platform and its deployment process. This can also be eliminated with some quick tests and possibly automated tests.
  • Functional errors—These types of errors occur because of misconfiguration or possibly wrong assumptions. The client go-live project should eliminate a majority of these issues with Stage Current environment going into production. These types of errors should also minimize with better maturity and better understanding of the Aria Allegro component.
