Use-It-or-Lose-It Recurring Allowance
Allowances are use-it-or-lose-it by default. Configure a data plan with a recurring service that grants the allowance and a data usage type that consumes it.
Expected Result
Data usage records consume the recurring grant linked to the recurring service.
Setup
- Configure one allowance resource in Aria Allegro for the data plan recurring charge.
- Set up the price plan, rate schedule, and rates in core Aria. Add data recurring and usage services. Enable the Add Allowance flag for the recurring service and mark the plan for advanced pricing.
- Locate the shell price offers created in Aria Allegro for the same plan or rate schedule.
- For the recurring service price offer, select the Recurring pricing model, set proration settings, add the allowance grant for the corresponding allowance resource, and specify the standard allowance amount.
- For the data usage type, configure the corresponding price offer. When adding rates, include the allowance in the impact.
Note: Each usage record consumes and updates the remaining allowance. Allowances offset the rate but cannot exceed the rated quantity or applied amount.
