Drawer vs. Expand Activity Pane

Overview

Like with Aria CCP UI, Allegro UI supports frames where the activity pane is expanded there itself or it opens a drawer from the right to perform further activity required.

The following screenshot shows a drawer opened from the right. This is typically done with a button (e.g., create/add buttons) or links with ids. You can see following characteristics in various sections:

• Multi-level drawer—open a drawer from an activity pane and another drawer from within a first drawer.
• Sub-table—Expand a section in the Activity pane to show a sub-table in the activity pane.
• Combination of expansion and a drawer—Expand a section in the Activity pane to show a sub-table and open a drawer by clicking a button/link from the sub-table.

These are done keeping in mind the usability aspects required for the specific functional component.
