update_acct_credentials_m Sample Call and Response

This example shows a client resetting the password and personal identification number for an account holder, based on the update_acct_credentials_m method defined in plsql_m_r73.yml.

This example covers updating the password and personal identification number for an existing account. It does not cover updating the secret question and secret question answer, which this example leaves unchanged.

Sample call

{
    "rest_call": "update_acct_credentials_m",
    "output_format": "json",
    "client_no": 4471,
    "auth_key": "b92f6e1c8a3d4f0e9b7c2a1d5e6f8091",
    "account_no": 100381,
    "password": "NewP@ssw0rd2026",
    "pin": "4471"
}

The rest_call and output_format fields form the envelope added by the REST layer; they are not part of the method's own argument list in the yml. This example identifies the account using account_no rather than the alternative client_acct_id. The password field is optional, but this example includes it as part of a password-reset scenario; Aria logs this field as masked in system logs. The pin field is also optional and is updated here alongside the password. The secret_question and secret_question_answer fields are left out of this example because the account holder's secret question is not being changed in this scenario.

Sample response

{
    "error_code": 0,
    "error_msg": "OK",
    "error_details": []
}

An error_code of zero with an error_msg of "OK" indicates the credentials update succeeded. The error_details array is left empty because no errors occurred.
